Bohemian Botanicals — Kumkumadi Booster
A botanical beauty blend that has withstood the test of time, prepared using an ancient Ayurvedic formula, and chokeful of natural herbs – Kumkumadi gets its name from one of its key ingredients – saffron, which translates to Kumkuma in Sanskrit.
This carefully prepared elixir is a potent infusion of Saffron (Keshar), Sandalwood (Chandan), Lodh Tree Bark (Lodhra), Red Sandalwood (Raktachandan), Pomegranate Extract (Annar), Licorice Root (Jeshthamadh), Indian Madder (Manjistha), Indian Redwood (Pattanga), Bay Leaf (Tejpan), Java Fig, Night-blooming Cereus (Kamal), Turmeric (Haldi), Lakh, Red Ochre (Geru), Nagkesar Herb, Flame of the Forest Tree Flower, Dusky Fire-Brand Teak Tree Bark, Shilajit, Lotus Pollen, Wild Himalayan Cherry (Padma), Leaves of the Banyan tree (Nyarodhna), Vetiver roots (Usheera), Indian Barberry (Kaliyaka), Blue Lotus Seed Extract (Neelotpala), Kashmir Tree, Fragrant Padri-Tree Roots, Shalaparni, Mahua Flowers (Madhuka), Bael Root and Indian Trumpet Flower Root, Yellow-fruit Nightshade (Kantkari), Goat's Milk and Rose Water with Sesame Oil as its base.
This blend is known for rejuvenating and renewing skin cells, improving texture as well as illuminating the skin. It brightens the complexion, treats discolouration and pigmentation, diminishes early signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles and spots. Used sparingly, it may help treat blemishes and fade acne scars as well.
"This is the most important and common disclaimer attached to kumkumadi oil: do not over-use if you have oily/acne prone skin.
While it is great for improving skin’s natural ability to remain moisturized, it might be too potent for skin that is already greasy or troubled. That being said, it can be beneficial for problematic skin, so it isn’t a strict no-no."
