Kefi Face Oil

In Greek, the word Kefi refers to, " joy, spirit, passion, happiness, triumph, mojo, excitement, feeling good, or loving life." Which are beautiful words to keep in mind whenever you use our Kefi face oil.

This harmonious herbal infusion yields a faintly aromatic oil that rejuvenates, feels luxurious on skin and does not clog pores. It contains a combination of watermelon seed oil, hibiscus oil, milk thistle seed oil and a splash of meadowfoam seed oil.

"Watermelon seed oil, extracted from the seeds of the fruit, is rich in essential fatty acids. It helps to lock in moisture, protect the skin barrier, prevent premature aging, maintain skin elasticity, and reduce inflammation."

"Meadowfoam seed oil contains two compounds known as glucosinolate derivatives. Research has shown these compounds can inhibit collagen-degrading enzymes in skin and help offset the negative impact of UVB light exposure (just to be clear, these ingredients do not replace the need for broad spectrum sunscreen)."

"Milk thistle seed oil is a rich source of numerous types of antioxidants known as polyphenols. Chief among them is silymarin, which contains flavonolignans. These are what’s responsible for silymarin’s soothing, reparative benefits when applied to skin. These antioxidants also give this plant ingredient the ability to neutralize highly damaging hydroxyl radicals that can form when skin is exposed to UV light. Silymarin and its derivative silybin have also been shown to visibly reduce dark spots."

"Hibiscus is rich in specific antioxidants called anthocyanins, which fight off free radicals, prevent premature skin aging, and decrease inflammation. It also contains alpha hydroxy acids, that help exfoliate. These naturally occurring acids work to minimize the appearance of dark spots and discoloration."

"A vitamin C derivative, ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate (ATIP) is the tetraester of ascorbic acid and isopalmitic acid. It is a clinically-proven oxygen stable, synthesized vitamin C ester that converts into free vitamin C in the skin. Studies have shown that oil-soluble forms of vitamin C penetrate through the epidermis and dermis better. Vitamin C is a key ingredient for brightening the complexion, restoring bounce to the skin, fading hyperpigmentation, maintaining a healthy skin barrier, supporting collagen synthesis, and slowing the rate of free radical damage."

"Pineapple has skin soothing and exfoliating properties from its vitamin c content, the anti-inflammatory enzyme bromelain, and naturally-occurring glycolic acid. The extract also salicylates that work both on the skin’s surface and deep in the pores (to unclog them)."

• Storage: Keep in a dark drawer/cupboard/a cool and dry place, away from direct or high heat and moisture. Can be stored in the fridge.
• IMPORTANT: Kefi is infused with one essential oil for fragrance/aromatherapy purposes. Essential oils can cause irritation or trigger an adverse/allergic skin reactions. Please perform a patch test before use. Please avoid if you have sensitive skin.
• Good to know: Best used at night, as the last step of your PM skincare routine.
• Your Ritual: Face oils typically work best as the last step in your skincare routine to seal in all the moisture underneath it. Put one to two drop in the palm of your hand (yes, that's all you need), mix it with a little bit of hydrosol. Spread the emulsion between your palms, pat it on skin (face and neck) or massage it using a sweeping upward and outward motion. Avoid direct contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water. If skin irritation develops, please discontinue use.
