Intentional and functional, Bhumi comes from the mind and hands of me (hi!) to elevate your daily personal care rituals. It harnesses the best of ancient nature to work in perfect harmony with your modern skin. Bhumi is a supportive oil that allows the skin to function at its optimal best, doing its job of regeneration and repair.

Β

Our skin's microbiome acts as a protective layer and when it is balanced, skin is kept nourished. While a lot of skincare formulas can disrupt or strip back this important layer, oil helps to maintain a much-needed natural balance.

Β

This oil is lovingly hand-blended in small batches for faces as for bodies and hair. it invites you to approach bodies with gentle curiosity and care. To savour the potentiality of touch and finding some joy every day.

Β

Macadamia Nut Oil

"Macadamia Nut Oil contains copious amounts of linoleic acid, which has skin-rejuvenating properties. It is incredibly hydrating for your skin, helping to prevent trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL). This oil is one of the highest sources of palmitoleic fatty acids, with a concentration between 16 – 23%. Palmitoleic acid is vital for delaying premature ageing.Β

Β

Its linoleic acid content is also helpful in balancing sebum production on oily skin types, creating a natural protective barrier and making it an essential non-comedogenic oil. Macadamia oil's phytosterols are protective, aiding in skin recovery. They work like cortisone on your skin, helping to reduce itchiness and inflammation."

Β

Cherry Kernel Oil

"The oil extracted from cherry kernels is very moisturizing, softening and protecting. It is very light on the skin and doesn’t feel sticky. Rich in vitamins A and E, Cherry Kernel Virgin oil is a regenerative oil. It contains antioxidants, delta, alpha, and gamma tocopherols to restore elasticity and firm the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Its balanced essential fatty acid composition of linoleic acid and oleic acids, make it non-comedogenic for blemish-prone skin types."

Β

Cacay Oil

"This cold-pressed, nutrient-rich oil is abundant in vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids. This oil is suitable for all skin types and can be used on the face, body, hair, and nails. With up to 85% linoleic acid content, cacay oil is the richest source of linoleic acid (omega 6 fatty acid).

Β

Omega 6 fatty acid dramatically enhances your skin's ability to retain moisture. It is also rich in alpha, beta, delta and gamma-tocopherols. Cacay oil contains oleic acid (omega 9 fatty acid) which helps restore skin's elasticity and beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A). Like vitamin E, beta-carotene is a well-known antioxidant which helps your skin resist future signs of ageing."

Β

Ashwagandha Root

"Ashwagandha has high levels of antioxidants that fight signs of ageing such as wrinkles, dark spots, fine lines, and blemishes. The compounds referred to as withanolides help cleanse dirt and impurities, which can prevent clogged pores and acne. It also contains alkaloids that act on the nervous system to ease anxiety and stress, which in turn have a direct impact on the health of our skin and hair."

Β

"Ashwagandha possesses powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which help in keeping the scalp healthy. It is a rich source of flavonoids that also possesses fatty acids, glucose, potassium, tannins, and nitrate. Tyrosine, an amino acid present in Ashwagandha stimulates the production of melanin and restrains the loss of melanin in the hair."

Β

Costus

"Costus possesses antimicrobial properties that protect the skin. Due to the presence of terpenes, Costus has anti-inflammatory properties that may downplay the allergic or inflammatory reactions.Β  It may reduce the signs of aging, fine wrinkles and age spots. It helps to impart an instant glow to the skin too. For hair, it is said to provide relief for hair fall related issues."

Β

Amla

"Amla, rich in antioxidants and multifaceted in its benefits, offers protection against the many impacts of stress on the skin. As ongoing stress elevates cortisol levels, affecting mood, brain function, hormones, and even skin health, incorporating Amla into your routine can help defend and revive your skin.

Β

Amla is packed with Vitamin C, minerals, and amino acids, acting as a powerful antioxidant. Meaning it helps protect your skin cells from the damage caused by harmful free radicals in your everyday environment. Amla supports collagen production, improving skin elasticity and strength. Use it to help boost your skin’s radiance and even your complexion."

Β

Ceramide NP

"The reinforcing power of Ceramide NP should not be underestimated. By strengthening the skin's barrier, it enhances its resistance against environmental stressors such as pollution and UV rays.Β In essence, Ceramide NP serves as a crucial support pillar for your skin. Its restorative, hydrating, and strengthening capabilities make it an essential ingredient in any effective skincare routine."

Β

"Ceramides strengthens hair, protects from damage, restores moisture and shine, and improves hair texture. Over time, washing hair, chemical processing, heat styling, and UV damage can deplete naturally occurring ceramides in the hair. Fewer ceramides means duller, coarser, drier, and frizzier hair. By replenishing ceramides, you can reseal the cuticle for softer, smoother hair. Ceramide NP reinforces the hair structure, reduces hair scales lifting, and reestablishes or strongly reinforces cell cohesion within the hair."

  • 30ml
  • Handmade in small batches
  • Housed in a clear glass dropper bottle
  • Good To Know: Shake well before each use. This product contains essential oils.
  • Storage: Keep dry. Store in a dark drawer, away from direct sunlight and high heat.
  • Your Ritual (face): Face oils typically work best as the last step in your skincare routine to seal in all the moisture underneath it. Put one to three drops in the palm of your hand, mix it with a little bit of hydrosol. Spread the emulsion between your palms, pat it on skin (face and neck) or massage it using a sweeping upward and outward motion. Avoid direct contact with eyes and the eye socket area. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water. If skin irritation develops, please discontinue use.
  • Your Ritual (body): Best applied to damp skin straight from the shower so the oils can trap the moisture into your skin. Your bottle will go further and your skin will be moisturized for longer using it this way. Or mix a few drops with your favorite body lotion, cream or butter to enhance its benefits.
  • Your Ritual (hair): Bhumi can be a versatile addition to your hair care and styling routine. The amount used will depend on the length of your hair. For shorter styles, 1-2 drops is a good starting point, while longer styles may require three or more. It can be used as a pre-shampoo treatment, pre-blow-dry treatment or as the last step in your styling routine. For the latter, simply apply a small amount of hair oil to your hair after styling, focusing on the ends and any other areas that tend to frizz. You can also use a tiny drop to smooth down any flyaways.
