There are plenty of skincare product claims that turn out to be malarkey. This isn't one of them. In our books, this little bottle punches way above its weight class. Our skin is very susceptible to stress, which is why you might be noticing acne flare-ups, dry patches, and dullness during hectic times. If your skin is showing the familiar signs of irritation—Manjistha Malarkey could be the fix.

Indian Madder

The plant Manjistha, also referred to as Indian Madder, has a long history in Ayurveda, the centuries-old Indian medicinal system. Manjistha, which is derived from the dried roots of the Rubia Cordifolia shrub, is well-known for its skin-rejuvenating properties. This herb is commonly utilized for alleviating a number of skin-related concerns, particularly inflammation, pigmentation, acne and brightening the complexion. The herb is enriched with an effective anti-bacterial compound called Alizarin.

Liquorice Root

Like the sweet snack, everything goes back to the licorice plant. The plant's root has long been used medicinally and is the source of black licorice candy. It also contains licorice extract, which is used topically on the skin. This extract has a range of useful compounds that do everything from providing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits to aiding in minimizing dark spots.

White Turmeric

This cream-coloured variety of wild turmeric (white turmeric (a.k.a) Poolan kizhangu) from Kerala is shade-dried and ground to a fine powder. White turmeric does not stain the skin and can help target hyperpigmentation and illuminate your complexion. It is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties. Compounds in white turmeric that can may prevent inflammation caused by UVB rays include curcumin and azulene.

Sandalwood

Sandalwood, whether in the form of oil or powder, can soothe inflamed skin. It is noted in Ayurvedic texts to alleviate pitta dosha, meaning that it has cooling properties. It is an astringent, which means it can cause tiny contractions in the soft tissue, which soothes and tightens the skin while minimizing the appearance of pores. Sandalwood's antiseptic properties also serve to minimize infection in areas with pimples, cuts, or superficial wounds, and its antimicrobial properties help to keep the skin clean.

Green Cardamom

Green cardamom has been utilized in traditional medicine for millennia, and its therapeutic properties are becoming increasingly popular in modern medicine. Green cardamom has many skin-beneficial properties. Its antioxidants fight free radicals and protect against premature aging, resulting in healthy, glowing skin.

Avarampoo

Senna Auriculata is the scientific name for Avarampoo. It is also known in English as Tanner's Cassia. Thousands of Indian women have used it throughout the years to treat uneven skin, minimize dark spots, acne scars and to keep their skin blemish-free. When used on a regular basis avarampoo brightens the skin and improves the complexion.

Dragon Fruit

Dragon fruits contain antioxidants that help combat free radicals and slow down the aging process, making your skin appear younger and smoother.

  • 50g
  • Housed in a clear glass bottle with an aluminum screw cap
  • Hand-crafted in a small batch
  • Precaution: We recommend conducting a patch test first to rule out any sensitivity. Do not over use as it may irritate your skin. Avoid the eye area. If any irritation occurs discontinue use immediately.

Apply a thin layer to skin (face and neck) with a brush or clean fingertips, avoiding the delicate eye area. Leave on for 20-25 minutes, do not let it completely dry out on skin. Add water to loosen the mask and massage skin gently in circular motions until mask is rehydrated. Rinse off with water.
